Robert McKinnon (pictured above) is a highly respected hypnotherapy trainer, mainly because of his straightforward and easy-to-understand approach. Robert has provided training to medical doctors as part of the NHS training programme for General Practitioners. His courses and CPD workshops attract students and therapists from all over the UK and Europe.
Robert has been in practice for 24 years, working in both London and Nottingham, and has been teaching since 2007. He uses, and teaches, a client-centred approach to therapy and has helped many hundreds of people overcome a wide range of issues and problems. He has been a regular guest on BBC Radio and his work has been featured in Cosmopolitan and Zest magazines.

Dr Steve Lowe is a retired dentist and qualified hypnotherapist who presents an in-depth look at the science behind how hypnotherapy works. This includes memory and perception, neuro-chemistry, including the role of dopamine, the mind-body link, including epigenetics and polyvagal theory, and the stress response. Steve also assists with the practical sessions.

Louise Page has more than 15 years experience as a hypnotherapist and teaches past life regression. Louise also specialises in working with those affected by narcissism.

Course contents (in brief)

The course is a combination of theory and practical work.
​
Hypnosis; what it is, why it's important and how to use it.​
​
Understanding the rules of the mind. How people develop habits, anxiety and phobias. Attachment theory.
​
Direct and indirect suggestion. How to make suggestions more effective.
​
The science behind how hypnotherapy works; memory and perception, the role of neurotransmitters (including dopamine), the stress response, polyvagal theory etc.

How to create rapport with the client. The massive importance of clean language.
​
Finding the root cause of the client's problem;- regression to cause, the TV and video technique, Gold Counselling. Inner child healing.
​
The work of Milton Erickson and the use of metaphor
​
NLP. The meta model, presuppositions, the fast phobia cure (AKA rewind technique), the swish, anchors, the Walt Disney strategy, the "secret technique"
Parts integration therapy.
​
A brief look at other therapies including emotional freedom technique, eye movement therapies, havening etc.
​
Dealing with phobias, anxiety and habits.
​
Past life regression (presented by Louise Page)
​
Specialist areas;- smoking cessation, weight management, stress management and pain management.

Mind coaching. Helping clients to perform at their peak (e.g. in sport).

How to set up in practice. Marketing.
